Course Description
Facilitated by Associate Trainer Natalia Gómez-Carlier, this one-day intensive workshop that offers an interdisciplinary exploration of mindfulness, yoga, art therapy and creative therapeutic practice as complementary modalities for fostering psychological resilience, emotional well-being and supporting therapeutic processes. Designed for students, practitioners, and professionals in the fields of psychology, counselling, and creative arts therapies, this course emphasizes the theoretical foundations and experiential application of mindfulness practices, yoga practices and philosophy, and art therapy interventions. This course offers an experience-based methodology where participants will engage in guided mindfulness exercises and art-making processes to examine the dynamic interplay between presence, creativity, and self-expression. Additionally, it will explore how focusing on developing flexibility and strength in psychological aspects can enhance the therapeutic process. By integrating these practices, attendees will deepen their understanding of how creative and contemplative methodologies can support mental health and facilitate personal growth. Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to: - Briefly articulate the theoretical underpinnings of mindfulness and its relevance to therapeutic practice. - Analyse the role of art therapy and creative practice in enhancing self-awareness, emotional regulation, and psychological healing. -Apply mindfulness-based strategies to art therapy and creative practice interventions to facilitate support therapeutic processes. - Critically evaluate the intersection of mindfulness and art therapy through experiential activities and reflective practice. - Synthesize insights gained into practical applications for clinical or educational contexts. - Experience self-expression and support emotional expression. - Enhance self-awareness and self-understanding. - Explore healing, coping skills and personal development. - Encourage a present and mindful attitude that transcends professional spheres and may generalize into personal life. Cancellation Policy
The Centre for Creative Therapeutic Practice (TCCTP) Refund and Cancellation Guidance Policy and Conditions Joining information for all of TCCTP's courses will normally be sent 1-week prior to the start date - please check your junk & spam folders if you have not seen this information - contacting the office on the day or evening before the start date will not always be responded to prior to the course starting. All cancellations must be submitted in writing to hello@tcctp.org. Cancellations made one month or before will be refunded in full minus £10 administration fee. Less than one month but more than 14 days before the course will be charged at 50%. Less than 14 days' notice will be fully chargeable. Please Note • Programmes are subject to change. • It is the attendees responsibility to check their email including junk and spam folders for joining details. • There is a possibility that the course/event may be cancelled due to insufficient numbers, unforeseen circumstances, or force majeure. In the case of insufficient numbers or unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be offered. In the case of force majeure such as the Coronavirus pandemic, alternative dates will be offered. If these dates are not suitable, a partial refund will be offered taking into account cost of overheads • If TCCTP offer face-2-face training - Please do not book any travel or accommodation until you have received confirmation of your booking from TCCTP. We will not be liable for this cost in the event you are not booked onto the course/event. • Where fees for attendees are being paid by a third party (e.g. employer). TCCTP will endeavour to collect the course fee through invoicing. However, where the third party fails to make payment, the course attendee will remain liable for said fees if cancellation is not made on time within our terms (see cancellation our policy above).
