Course Description
With the sharp increase in referrals for autistic and neurodivergent CYP this course, underpinned by autism theories, has been designed to support arts therapists adapt their practice and work safely and effectively with their clients. Suited to Arts Therapists working with Autistic and Neurodivergent CYP. This is an experiential course that will guide practitioners through creative therapeutic approaches to enhance their work with Autistic and Neurodivergent CYP. The course includes activities that have been designed in collaboration with neurodivergent children and young people and is aimed at supporting with sensory development, sensory processing, sensory integration and communication approaches. The course is also informed by evidence based early years autism programmes, children's drawing development, neuroscience and polyvagal theory. Participants will be guided through a variety of creative approaches to support assessment, goal setting and intervention development as well as the sensory properties of art materials and creating autism sensitive sensory environments for CYP. This course is online from 10am-4pm. Cost: Self-funded £100 Employer-funded £130 Payment via invoice

Cancellation Policy
The Centre for Creative Therapeutic Practice (TCCTP) Refund and Cancellation Guidance Policy and Conditions Joining information for all of TCCTP's courses will normally be sent 1-week prior to the start date - please check your junk & spam folders if you have not seen this information - contacting the office on the day or evening before the start date will not always be responded to prior to the course starting. All cancellations must be submitted in writing to hello@tcctp.org. Cancellations made one month or before will be refunded in full minus £10 administration fee. Less than one month but more than 14 days before the course will be charged at 50%. Less than 14 days' notice will be fully chargeable. Please Note • Programmes are subject to change. • It is the attendees responsibility to check their email including junk and spam folders for joining details. • There is a possibility that the course/event may be cancelled due to insufficient numbers, unforeseen circumstances, or force majeure. In the case of insufficient numbers or unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be offered. In the case of force majeure such as the Coronavirus pandemic, alternative dates will be offered. If these dates are not suitable, a partial refund will be offered taking into account cost of overheads • If TCCTP offer face-2-face training - Please do not book any travel or accommodation until you have received confirmation of your booking from TCCTP. We will not be liable for this cost in the event you are not booked onto the course/event. • Where fees for attendees are being paid by a third party (e.g. employer). TCCTP will endeavour to collect the course fee through invoicing. However, where the third party fails to make payment, the course attendee will remain liable for said fees if cancellation is not made on time within our terms (see cancellation our policy above).
